For this packaging design project, I was assigned a product (soap) and a name (invigorate). After research, I decided to base my concept around an actual location – Iceland. Not only is Iceland a place where people vacation to return to their lives invigorated, the land itself is invigorated and full of energy. Iceland is volcanically and geologically active, and its landscapes are characterized by lava fields, geothermal hot springs, and glaciers.
Each package is inspired by a different location in Iceland. The imagery is taken from photographs I took of ice, salt, and lava rock. I chose the typeface DIN, a sans serif typeface that is often used in travel and transportation settings.
